 BEES
is a nonprofit organization that works with educators to develop
innovative environmental education programs which are multidisciplinary,
inquiry-based, and customized around a local issue. Our programs
engage middle to high school students in an in-depth and hands-on
examination of an issue, incorporate many perspectives, and include the
use of technology tools, exposure to career opportunities, and practice
in using workplace readiness skills. Our mission is to improve environmental knowledge and decision making among students and teachers. We are a broad-based coalition of resources from the academic, corporate, environmental, media, government, and community sectors. BEES connects schools to local resources - experts, curriculum and resource materials, facilities, and funding sources to implement and sustain their programs. |
