We'd like to recognize the efforts of many individuals over the past two years in the design, creation, and maintenance of the BEES website.

Past BEES Staff

Gabriel FoxGabriel Fox, our Staff Assistant, provided editorial review and suggestions for many of the pages, especially throughout the Hot Links section.

Nancy HogueNancy Hogue, our Program Coordinator, spent two summers doing the research for and writing several very extensive pages of the website - Environmental Health, Lead, Radon, Mercury, and the Water Curriculum Enhancer. The reference section of the Water Curriculum Enhancer alone reached 8 pages! Due to her working directly with the schools on BEES programs, Nancy was able to add a great section on multidisciplinary Classroom Applications to the Water page.

Jose MyersJosé Myers, our Technology Coordinator and webmaster, created the framework of our website and designed most pages, including the backgrounds, graphics, and animated gifs throughout. It took all the rest of us writing "the content" to keep up with him. We are grateful to José for the organized structure that he has brought to the website. His background designs are elegant and the layouts "bring alive" toimages that may not usually be thrilling to high school students. One of our favorite graphic designs by José is the Customized Programs flower. His animations, especially of bees throughout, are very special to all of us working on the website. Can you find his dancing bees?

Karen WintressKaren Wintress, our Executive Director, wrote many pages of the website and provided editorial and design review throughout. José and Jerome came to expect Karen's concepts sketched on scraps of paper and many web document drafts marked with her "red pen".

BEES Interns

Jerome WhitsonJerome Whitson, a summer intern from Miami University of Ohio, spent the summers of 1997 and 1998 with us. During this time he designed many great pages on our website. Among them are his colorful Environmental Health, Lead, Radon, and Mercury pages. Within the Customized Programs area, he designed the Risk Assessment, Career Readiness, and Communication Skills Pages. Jerome made the Hot Links section of the website "come alive", by adding (with permission) the logos for the organizations that we linked to. Additionally, Jerome designed the Water Curriculum Enhancer, Publicizing Your BEES Program, and Technology Skills pages on the website.

Karen Steele, a summer intern during 1997, wrote the page on Non-Point Source Pollution.
